Covid19 and your safety

Your safety and that of our hard-working staff are our main priority. We are following current government guidelines and will adapt accordingly should they change.

Social distancing

Please respect personal space by maintaining a social distance. We ask that customers wait at the door for a member of the restaurant staff to show you to your table. Sanitisers are placed at the door and throughout the restaurant for use of guests to use as often as necessary. We have created a small area by the bar for you and your guests to wait in comfort.

Indoor gatherings should be in groups of up to two households (including support bubbles). Outdoor gatherings of 6 people or less can be from any number of households. If your outdoor gathering is of 7 people or more then all should be from no more than two households (or support bubbles).

At busy times, those without prior bookings may be asked to wait and we will do our utmost to find everyone a table. It may not always be possible, in order to keep everyone safe, and we ask you for your understanding and patience.

We would like to reassure you that we will be cleaning the restaurant and kitchen often and all our staff will be washing their hands and sanitising regularly. The tables and chairs will be cleaned after each customer. At every step, we’ll be following the highest of cleaning standards throughout the restaurant and in the kitchen.

Service at table

We’ll do our utmost to keep as safe a distance as possible when taking orders and serving your table. You’ll notice some changes to the way we’re laying the tables. To reduce the ‘contact’ with cutlery, we’re placing the knives, forks, and napkins on the table after you have ordered. This will also apply to the salt and peppers dispensers, which will be cleaned after every use.

Space between tables

We wanted to reassure you that care and consideration has gone into spacing the distance between the tables and positioning of the chairs. Therefore, please understand that it will not be possible for customers to move chairs and tables that are already in situ.

All our menus will be printed on single use paper that will be recycled after each use.

Much as they like to, please don’t let them wander for theirs and others comfort and safety.

Will be regularly cleaned and numbers attending will be slightly restricted.

If you are feeling unwell please save your visit for another day. We at Chez Nous hope you find these changes reassuring and always feel free to ask any member of staff if you have a query.
